AEEAC - The Business Case for Energy Efficiency

The International Energy Agency has said: “Energy efficiency is the one energy resource that every country possesses in abundance and is the quickest and least costly way of addressing energy security, environmental and economic challenges.” By sharing real-life examples, Mrs. Gauthier will outline key considerations related to the many benefits of energy efficiency to the institutional, SME and industrial energy consumers. Energy managers, project engineers, as well as service and technology providers will be better equipped to sell energy efficiency projects to their managers or clients.

About the Presenter
Geneviève Gauthier is an energy efficiency and renewable energy expert advising the public sector and private organizations in the commercial, institutional and industrial sectors. She cumulates more than 16 years of experience in the energy efficiency, renewable energy, natural gas and the pulp and paper industries. She has an engineering background and holds a Master degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Ms. Gauthier has facilitated dozens of traditional energy efficiency projects and energy performance contracts. She has also participated in national and international projects on market potential evaluation, development of energy efficiency regulations and the design of energy efficiency financing mechanism.
