Job Description:

We are hiring for Full-Time and Part-Time Houseperson/Labourer positions at the Calgary Petroleum Club. Our Houseperson plays an important role in maintaining the club’s cleanliness and ensuring the smooth daily operations within the club. Houseperson / Labourer

  • Setup of all function/meeting rooms according to the banquet event order and Club Standards. Including moving tables, chairs, podiums etc. (60% of the job)

  • Clean designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms

  • Perform tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays

  • Be able to lift to a maximum of 50 pounds

  • Properly stock all convention equipment in appropriate stores as per Club standards

  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives

  • Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair

  • The Houseperson is a mix of custodial, housekeeping, and customer service.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Good interpersonal skills are necessary and work well as part of a team

  • Proficient in oral and written English

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Shifts Available: 

  • Full Time - 3pm-11pm (Occasion Weekend)

  • Part Time - Thursday 12:30-4:30 & Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm (Occasional Weekend) **part-time will not qualify for extended health benefits and dental benefits**
